Fraud warning: cloned companies

Our company takes information and suspicions about fraudulent activity very seriously. From time to time we find companies that use our name, or names similar to ours, without permission. This can cause confusion and spread wrong information about TradeX AI and its services.

Why we publish this notice

We created this warning for three reasons. First, people have contacted us after dealing with a company that was not ours, and they were disappointed in a service we never offered. Second, a client who has been misled by a copy may lose money and trust in the whole category, and that harms honest providers too. Third, we believe a plain public statement protects more people than a quiet reply to each complaint.

Read it as a checklist. If something on this page matches what you have seen, stop and check before you share anything or send any money.

Cloned companies

A cloned company uses our brand, name or logo, or a name that looks almost the same, to appear genuine.

Signs of a clone

  • A website address that is close to ours but not exactly tradexai.org
  • Email from a free webmail address or any domain other than ours
  • Pressure to deposit quickly, or a promise of guaranteed or fixed profit
  • A request to share your screen, install remote-access software or send a 2FA code
  • A request to pay into an account in someone else's name or in crypto to a wallet address

What we recommend

If you suspect that you are dealing with a clone that is using our brand, name or logo, do not give out your personal information. Tell us at once by email at [email protected], and include the website address, any email or phone number used and screenshots of what you were told.

Do not send further money, and contact your bank or card issuer straight away if you have already paid.

How to check a message that claims to be from us

Four checks take a minute and catch nearly every copy.

  1. Read the sender address

Our email always ends in @tradexai.org. A single changed letter, a hyphen or an extra word means it is not ours.

  2. Look for your security code

If you set a personal security code in your dashboard, every genuine email from us includes it. No code, no trust.

  3. Go to the site yourself

Type the address into your browser, or use your own bookmark, and sign in there. Never use a link inside a message to reach your account.

  4. Ask your account manager

If in doubt, call back on the number you were given during onboarding. A real account manager will gladly confirm or deny a message.

What we can and cannot do

We work continuously to find all companies that clone us, but we stress that some of them may stay unidentified for a period of time. Clients should always check that a company is legitimate before sharing personal data or beginning any business relationship with it online, including a company that says it is part of ours.

We are aware of cases in which our name and personal data have been misused for fraudulent purposes, which we cannot influence or control. While we deeply regret the financial losses suffered by anyone who has met this, our company is not responsible for fraudulent transactions carried out in our name by others.

If you believe that you have been a victim of fraud, report it to your local police and to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, and tell your bank. Let us know too, so we can try to get the clone taken down.
